Attached is a copy of a page from our June 2018 Newsletter. In one of our meetings, Cathy E. was gracious enough to show us how to decorate a Sable Tart. I hope you enjoy the photos and recipe!

As we approach Christmas, it seems bakers are always on the lookout for some creative ideas. Here is a recipe to make Non-Edible Christmas Ornaments. Don't forget to send us photos of ornaments you make. Share your knowledge!
Air-Dry Clay 3 c. flour 1/2 c. non-toxic white glue 1 t. lemon juice 1 c. salt 1 c. water Combine all ingredients of the air-dry clay in a large bowl. Roll out mixture and cut with cookie cutters to make any shape. While the mixture is still soft, cut a hole in the top for stringing. Dry at least eight hours; turn over and dry another eight hours. Paint with gel colors, especially if you think either your kids or your fur babies will gnaw on these ornaments. |
